What to do if involved in a hit and run (untraced driver) accident
Firstly you should contact the police as soon as possible after the accident. If you fail to notify the police that you have been involved in a hit and run accident, you will not be able to make a claim through the Motor Insurers Bureau (MIB).
If you have suffered personal injuries due to the hit and run accident, you should visit the hospital or your local GP as soon as possible. You should also try to make a note of anybody who may have witnessed the hit and run accident.
To find out if you are entitled to make a claim, or if you would like to find out more about personal injury claims, call our dedicated team on 0800 118 5855 or fill out our online web claim form and one of our representatives will quickly get back to you.
